Historically, CreditVest has been dedicated to assisting clients in performing complex real estate tasks. From 1991 through 1995, we assisted the RTC/FDIC in successfully resolving over $4 billion of real estate assets under its seller- financing program. From 1995 through 1997, the Company assisted Nomura Securities in developing and implementing underwriting standards for its Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS) program and served as their primary due diligence provider on transactions under $15 million. Since then, CreditVest has performed underwriting for major investment banks and insurance companies seeking to securitize their loans and B-piece buyers purchasing tranches of new or previously issued CMBS securities.
In addition to its private sector work, CreditVest has worked extensively with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development since 1999. As a Participating Administrative Entity (PAE) in HUD’s Mark-to-Market Program, the firm has underwritten and restructured debt on over 430 low-income housing complexes. The financing has involved LIHTC Investments, FHA-insured loans, HUD held loans, tax-exempt bonds, credit enhancements, construction and renovation loans and bridge loans. In 2009, CreditVest was selected as one of three PAE’s nationwide to participate in HUD’s Green Initiative to encourage owners and purchasers of affordable multifamily properties to rehabilitate and operate their properties using sustainable Green Building standards.
In addition to serving the commercial lending community and HUD, CreditVest provides a broad spectrum of real estate services for clients who are buying, selling, or financing real estate properties or who require specialized real estate advisory services. Our firm is able to handle assignments ranging from due diligence on single assets or large multi-property portfolios, to loan reviews, OREO asset management and workouts of distressed assets.
